Rolling up to the “How We Roll” pop-up hosted by editor and author, Noah Rubin was an experience worth rolling to, held at the popular ice cream parlor, Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream in New York City. As a cannabis enthusiast, the anticipation of stepping up my rolling game was met with excitement and curiosity, and the event did not disappoint.
Reserving my seat through Resy, a leading hospitality technology platform, added a seamless touch to the event logistics, ensuring a hassle-free and enjoyable experience. The workshop, hosted by Noah Rubin, also brought together a variety of sponsors, including Curaleaf, Weed Feed, Dad Grass, Session Goods, and Luxe Goods each contributing to the event’s diverse and dynamic atmosphere.
One of the highlights was the Curaleaf spinning wheel and and I walked away with a thoughtful gift. The generosity continued as I crafted my preroll using Dad Grass, a brand known for its quality Hemp and CBD-infused products.

The calm before rolling our blunts. Noah is setting the stage and sharing insights from his experience and the theme for the event.
The vibrant atmosphere of Morgenstern’s set the stage for an evening of creativity and community. The pop-up not only offered a chance to hone my rolling skills but also presented an opportunity to indulge in a unique selection of infused ice cream cones. I couldn’t resist trying one and found that it perfectly complemented the rolling experience, adding a sweet touch to the entire affair. The ice cream parlor’s light soft-serve infused ice cream was a unique and delightful addition, showcasing the fusion of cannabis culture with culinary creativity.

Noah Rubin, the mastermind behind the event, not only showcased his expertise in joint culture but also took the time to sign the copy of his book, How We Roll: The Art and Culture of Joints, Blunts, and Spliffs, which I had the pleasure of purchasing. Rubin’s background as the editor of Snoop Dogg’s cookbook, From Crook to Cook, and the former editor-in-chief of Snoop’s Merry Jane cannabis media platform added a layer of authenticity to the event, making it an unforgettable experience for cannabis enthusiasts and novices alike.
Much respect for Noah Rubin for curating an event that not only elevated the art of rolling but also celebrated the vibrant culture surrounding it. The “How We Roll” pop-up was more than just a gathering; it was a celebration of creativity, blending education, community, and enjoyment into one harmonious evening of rolling blunts.
My pov of the pop-up before we started rolling up.
